Founding Co-Director 2013

Producer of: ACMI Screening Video Visions

Video Visions is Channels Festival's flagship open-call program screening the most eclectic works from local and international video artists.

Channels Festival offers both a survey of that question and a celebration of the art form in all its mutant forms: exploring the breadth and depth of video practice, expanding artist and audience engagement beyond the white cube or black box. Comprising screenings, installation, public workshops, talks and live audio-visual performances, the 2013 Festival showcased work from nearly 100 Australian and international video artists. Channels Festival has been running since the inaugural festival in 2013.

Rachel was also a co-founding co-director of Channels Festival in 2013, an event dedicated to promoting the work of Australian and international artists across multiple venues, including ACMI, Fed Square’s Big Screen, Ikono on Air Festival in Berlin, Minus 21 Degrees Festival in Salzburg, and Melbourne Now at Rooftop Cinema.
